At eight years old, I moved from Osaka to Chongqing to Boston. I learned early what it felt like to lose a sense of home, and how deeply we long to find it again.Years later, AKKI was born as that place: a space for multi-cultural expression, weaving Eastern heritage into modern forms. Each piece carries the spirit of hope, resilience, and belonging that I once searched for. It’s bigger than us. Bigger than fashion. The most authentic way to push the culture forward is to share our why.
